'READ ME' TEXT FILE

1. Quick Start Setup
If you're a first time user, simply run INFOMAIL CONFIG,
followed by INFOMAIL LIST. Put INFOMAIL SCAN into your regular
mail maintenance batch file, or run it after polling your boss
if you're a point.
Note: When running INFOMAIL CONFIG, ensure a full pathname to
your desired log file is present. If this short intro isn't
enough for you, take a look at the file USER.DOC which contains
more detailed instructions in the form of a tutorial.
2. Upgrading from InfoMail 1.00, 1.10 or 1.11.
Simply copy your INFOMAIL.DAT and INFOMAIL.CFG files from your
InfoMail 1.00/1.10/1.11 directory and run INFOMAIL UPGRADE. Use
INFOMAIL CONFIG and INFOMAIL LIST to check the details, as
described in the Quick Start Setup section (1). Also, run
INFOMAIL SCAN as described in the same section.
3. Upgrading from InfoMail 1.20.
No upgrade process is required to upgrade from InfoMail/386 1.20
to InfoMail/86 1.21. Just unarchive the new files into place
over the top of the old ones. Note that the main manual is
unchanged, it is the manual for InfoMail/386 1.20.

5. Software Status
This software is completely free. Use it as and when you like,
for as long as you like, without paying the author anything at
all. The author would appreciate a netmail from you though,
saying what you think of the software, including suggestios for
improvement, or saying what you are using InfoMail for.

resulting from use of InfoMail. See the user guide for more
details.
6. Support
The INFOMAIL echo has been set up by the author. It is
available in the UK, various parts of Europe and North America,
and India. Attempts at full worldwide distribution are
constantly being made. If you cannot find a local feed for the
echo, enquire at the author's system. The author will be
willing to act as a feed for anyone who really wants the echo.
Every month a short news bulletin is posted into the INFOMAIL
echo. Users who do not have a feed for the echo can request the
document from InfoMail itself; send a netmail to INFOMAIL at
2:2502/666 with the subject line INFOMAIL.POST.
